What are we about?

There are a few definitions for RICE on the net, but the one that goes with our site is:

Race
Inspired
Cosmetic
Enhancement

I'm what the car community will call a n00b, Cars never really interest me until more recent when I got my Scion. I love my car but I never liked looking stock.

Ever since I was a kid I always saw on the street the same cars, sometimes you could even park next to a car that not only was the same model but also the same color too. I like my stuff to be unique, so I started modding my car.

I would be lying if I didn't say I was inspired in the Fast and Furious movies (first 3, after that they changed and not my style anymore). I think many of us probably got into cars just because of those movies.

After a few mods, I started visiting forums on the car culture to share my car and all I got was pure hate and negativity. Is cool when people don't like your style, but hating it?. In between these negatives comments I saw many with the word RICE or RICER, then implying that I was stupid for adding mods to my car that were only cosmetic and didn't give me any extra performance.

That's when I thought about creating this blog. A place without judgement, a place were your style is unique and if you like it, that's what matters. A place were you could share what you have and talk to other people that want to or are doing those same mods as you without having all the hate of the regular "car guy".

I'm proud of been a RICER and having my car "riced up", I love how my car looks, I drive at the speed limit and with precaution, because I love my car, my car is unique and I don't want anything to hurt it. In spite of the negativity from the car world I do get complements at my college, even to say something positive or negative people always stop to look at my car, because is different and unique. That's what makes me proud to be RICE.

This place is NOT for you IF:

- You like to race other people on the streets just to prove your car is better.
- You like to race on the street.
- You like to go to car meets and brag about your mods making people believe that you have a fast car when obviously you don't.
- You like to drift or do anything that might endanger your fellow drivers just because you believe you are in a Fast and Furious movie.
- You are a car guy and despise everyone that does mods to their cars that doesn't have to do with performance.

To everyone else, welcome, share pictures of your cars on the comments. I'll be posting some DIYs and answering question about cosmetic mods I had when I did it.

Cheers.
